How to Proceed in Cases of Illegal Logging

Take photographs, identify the stand, and determine its owner; file a complaint with the district forestry office (in the case of a commercial forest) or the Slovak Environmental Inspection (in the case of a protected area); and monitor the condition of the stand. If you are the direct owner of the stand and have a cadastral map that allows you to determine with certainty that the logging was illegal, you can also file a criminal complaint with the police.
